The Best Hummus You'll Ever Eat
My favorite snack that I grew up requesting at all times.
- 2 15.5 Ounce Cans Organic Chickpeas
- 3 Cloves of Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Tahini
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2 Lemons
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 Teaspoons Sea Salt
Place your chickpeas, garlic, tahini and juice of two lemons in your blender or food processor and blend or pulse for 1 minute until you get a slightly rough chopped texture.
Next with your machine on add in your water, salt, and olive oil.
Blend until you get your desired consistency. After about 2-4 minute you should have a nice smooth texture to your hummus. Plate it up and get dippin' or spreadin' with your pita chips, pita bread, or veggies!
You may need to add more water to get your desired consistency.
Don't forget to add in your salt.
You can reserve some of the chickpeas for garnish and sprinkle on some paprika like I did.
If you omit the garlic from the recipe, your hummus will last for about 5 days in the fridge. If you keep the garlic in your hummus, be sure to consume within a few days of making it, as the longer it sits, your garlic will ferment, and you don't want this.
